Hey! Thomas Moore here...
I’m a creator, showrunner, writer, producer, and occasional actor. The stories I’ve written utilize play, film, short video, and subscriber video on demand (SVoD) platforms.
I’m looking for representation and production opportunities on four projects: Zoe, What’s Going On?, Talk Therapy, The Calm Collection, and American Eucharist.
If you’re interested in telling stories where comedy crashes into drama, where character-driven stories arrive at extraordinary places, please drop me a line.
Among the awards my creative work has won are Brooklyn’s WILLiFEST Outstanding Achievement in Short Screenwriting, LA’s CineStory Foundation’s Best Short Screenplay, NY Drama League Best Full-Length Play-in-Progress Award, and writer’s fellowships at the Edward F. Albee Foundation and the Blue Mountain Center Artist Residency.
I’m also a licensed clinical social worker in private practice in Manhattan and the Director of a psychotherapy service for the RWJBarnabas-Rutgers Healthcare System. In the spring of 2020, I created The Calm Collection, a series of 3-minute original videos to help frontline healthcare staff cope with the PTSD and moral injury they were experiencing during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
While we were all sheltering in place, I invited my artist and therapist friends to use their iPhones to make resiliency videos for our staff – medical professionals who risked their lives caring for patients infected by the COVID virus. We’re now in Season 3, and the series has been viewed over 60,000 times.
